  Receiver failed about 02:50 UT.

  Found Datel +5V power supply at bottom of rack, 7.5A fuse blown.
• 20150202
  Put in spare (ex Halley) power supply HFS350 series for +5V. Soundings started again, but with LPTx.

  05:36-05:40:UT, Fault appeared in Rx/synth ? High and constant noise level, no echoes.
  23:45 UT Fault disappeared by itself.

  Testing valves. V3 (MKS0009) glows purple with HV on, no RF (gassy?). V4 (PXG012) does not. Did not try RF + HV today. Put Y92236 (ex Trondheim STARE, looks well used) in V4. No glow with HV.

  Put PXG012 in V3 position, removing gassy MKS0009. From 08:48 UT HPTx working, with V3 (upper left)=PXG012 glowing purple with RF, V4=Y92236 (upper right) glowing pink with RF.

  HV dump, HV and Fil voltage off.

  replaced HV fuse (cracked on removal), ca. 08:00UT Fils on, 08:43 running BP2min at full power.

  Ski tour of inspection. 2 drooping dipoles found: West ant, west half drooping at end and East ant drooping at end of west half dipole. Broken wire to east half of West ant. 'Fixed' lightly by hand only.

  Moved dynserv from office at EISCAT to Dynasonde room at Heating. It is in the computer rack below the DOS PC and above the transformer. Updated Ubuntu.

  HV went off between 01:10 and 01:12 soundings.

  ca. 08:20, Tried a new HV fuse but HV went off immediately when starting sounding. Iaverage =40 mA (w/o sounding) which is too high, 15 mA is more normal. A valve needs replacing.

  Dynserv upgraded with a graphics card. Put in a 'new' upper right (V4) tube: FSM512 (ex Taiwan), replacing 'gassy' Y92236. Kept V3 as PXG012. Iav without RF is now ca. 20 mA instead of the 40 mA previously. From 1540UT sounding with HPTx.
  At 22:24 to 22:26 HV went off: dump and HV fuse blown.

  Put in a new HV fuse, 1A instead of 2A and started sounding again from 0658 UT with HPTx.
  At 20:48 UT the 1A fuse blew but no dump or any other fault.

  Put in a new 1A fuse, sounding again with HV from 07:40 UT. It blew again at 20:?? UT.
• 20150424
  Put in a new 2A fuse. 06:16 UT sounding again.
• 20150429
  Repaired broken wire to inner half dipole of W ant. at 14:06 UT.

About 09:00 UT looks like a solar flare affected the echoes: absorption and then PMSE echoes.
Between 14:54 and 14:56UT HV off, filament off....

New fuse (but old one was not blown-just broken glass on removal) and sounder goes again until...

HV off again at 14:22 to 14:24 UT.
