Some time before midnight, HV and fils went off.
HV fuse blown. All fault LEDs lit except Gnd and HV max

Turned on filaments. Smoke from HPTx and burning smell !
Smoke from left lower hole in front panel.
The middle cap on board of C32,C33,C34 (100uF at 450V) electrolytic
was dripping a fluid and was shorted. Replaced with identical spare
(2 blue 47uF in parallel).
Filaments on (no fil light !)
HV ON, only warm air from bottom of RH tubes.
Fuse F36 (or F3s ?) had blown (3A). Replaced. Now fils
light is on. After about 30s the capacitors exploded with smoke !
Probably the same ones as before.

V3 fils measure 0.0 Ohm, and V4 and V1 and V2. All tubes seem normal
superficially.

Put 60kHz xtal filter from Tx mixer module back in IF module, channel 2
(It was moved on 17 June 2007)
PC clock: was 6s slow wrt GPS, reset at 07:51 UT
08:09 inserted 7.953 MHz BPF in antenna feed to to Rx1 (from array 3).
Feed to Rx2 still has 5.423MHz lambda/4 stub notch filter attached.

09:00 changed channel 1from 7.953 MHz BPF back to stub for 5.423MHz.
No difference on scope.

Noticed for about a week that the 'blue' O-mode echoes are light blue:
a sign of a Rx antenna fault I think.
Tour of inspection showed wire to the north half dipole of N antenna
broken at the preamp box terminals. Crimped on a new piece.
15:30 UT fixed.

Andrew Senior working on BMODE41/RAWS20R1 to get more ranges
through the BP-mode soundings. Successfull !
This becomes the standard sounding mode.

Sounder giving no signals after ca. 01 UT on 26 Oct.
Low noise level. Schomandl synthesiser gives 40.025 MHz out instead
of 40.625 MHz. 'Spare' doesn't work either.
Connected spare Ailtech from BAS sounder as 40.625 MHz. output a
bit less than ca. 2Vpp open circuit instead of 4Vpp o/c.

Jan-Boerre fixed the original Schomandl by swapping the 100kHz selector
switch with the 0.1 Hz (unused) switch. Display LEDs have deteriorated
in the process (1MHz and 100kHz esp.). Put back in and set level
to 1.04Vpp (=0.35 Vrms = 4 dBm). Note that this is 1/4 that of the
old value.

10:15 UR 30Nov PC clock is 10.5s slow. Reset at 10:17 UT.
