Brett Isham and I toured the dynasonde antenna in the last
rays of sun at about 4 pm.
The S antenna has a broken wire connecting the southern half-dipole
to the preamp. We did not fix it (no tools with us).
How long has this been so ? Need to look up the
http://dynamite.eiscat.uit.no/amplitud*.txt file and see where there is
a discontinuity.
We raised the inner end of the southern
half dipole of the N antenna by about 10 cm.
----------------------------------------------------------
I installed the faster 3COM EL90X network card in the dynasonde
PC. Had to remove the mouse driver to make enough memory
avaliable. (This new driver takes 28560 bytes instead of the 8416 bytes
used by the old 10Mb/s 3COM 3C509 card).
From about 18:30 UT using the faster (upto 100Mb/s ?) link
to dynamite.

14:10 UT reconnected the south half-dipole of the S antenna (southern-most)
back to the pre-amplifier.

A power supply failure in the receiver rack is the cause of the
large data gap here.
